LIFE ISN'T ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORM TO PASS....IT'S ABOUT LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN!
Josh was spending the day with his family at the Holmes family reunion. They were all having some 'fun in the sun' at Pineview Reservoir. Josh had been impressing everyone with his wakeboarding skills and took a couple bad wrecks. Later that day he was swimming off the shore at Middle Inlet with his brothers Justin and Colton. Josh was standing in the water almost to his waist when he did a swimmers dive to go in for a swim. Josh remembers hitting the sand. He was instantly paralyzed and was not able to come up. His brothers swimming close by noticed his back arched and his head under and wondered what he was doing, they swam over to him and helped him out to the shore, Josh coughed up some water, and told them he thought he was drowning. Justin touched Josh's leg and he could not feel them. 911 was called immediately, within 4-5 min. the paramedics were there and called life-flight. Josh was transported to the Hospital.

Hello Pack Family & Friends, we are all so blessed that you have arrived at Craig Hospital. In 1994 I was in a roll over car accident and my neck was broken in two places. I had a closed head injury and a lacerated spleen my Doctor told my family that I would not make it through the night. After surgery the next morning a lot of hard work and many blessings I eventually re-habed at Craig Hospital. I now not only walk, swim and ski I also pray to our Heavenly Father that he direct my life so that I will fulfill his purpose for my amazing recovery.
Josh I know that this is a very frightening time and trial for you & your loved ones but you can recover with a better quality of life than medical people lead you to believe. Stay strong, set goals be greatful for the small accomplishments and always look to our Heavenly Father, he loves us and will help us walk with his Son again. I am so looking forward to meeting you and watching your recovery! Sister Laurie Hillman
