Yeah Good medical news

  • Josh was downsized to a smaller trach today. The next step is too get rid of it all together. His lungs are very strong, they are only keeping him on the trach because he is on bed rest until further notice. So for precautions only they are keeping it in.
  • No more breathing treatments. You can only appreciate this if you have experienced a "breathing treatment"!!! Darinda you would be so proud of Josh.

I came across this blog and have been thrilled to see how much better Josh is doing. I can't say that I really know Josh cause he's a few years younger than me but I love your family and have been thinking a lot about you guys and have been fasting and praying for all of you. You continue to touch lives even through your own trials and it continues to amaze me! Tell Josh to stay strong and continue to be the wonderful person he is!And thank you for taking the time to update us!

Josh:

Hey buddy, I'm praying for you. The updates are getting better all the time. Keep it going. Everyone is concerned and keeping updated. I wish you were closer so I could drop by and say Hi, But since I can't "HI". Keep up the faith because it works. I'll keep in touch. Another help besides the cute nurses is some good old "Beatle" music. Try it, I know you like it.

Brother Pack and Josh (and the whole Pack Family)-
Your faith, your hope, and your fight are an inspiration to at least 170 Weber Warriors who care about you (I only know 170 so far...so that's 100%). We're all pullin' for ya and love ya. Our prayers are with you.

We are so glad to see he is making progress, I can't imagine how hard and slow spinal injuries are to heal or show any progress! We will keep you in our prayers!

Dear Pack Family,

I too, am a WHS Alumni whose testimony was nourished and strengthened back in 2002 by the example of Bro. Pack and is continued to be strengthened by your family today. I appreciate your endurance and continued testimonies that Heavenly Father cares about us and knows us individually. The faith you are demonstrating through this trial is strengthening the faith of so many. What a great tool you all are in Heavenly Father's hands.

A few of my favorite scriptures (the whole chapter is fantastic) in times of trials are: Alma 26:27 and 26:36-37

"Now when our hearts were depressed, and we were about to turn back, behold, the Lord comforted us, and said: Go amongst thy brethren, the Lamanites, and bear with patience thine afflictions and I will give unto you success."

"...Blessed be the name of my God who has been mindful of us wanderers in a strange land...we see that God is mindful of every people, whatsoever land they may be in; yea, he numbereth his people, and his bowels of mercy are over all the earth. Now this is my joy, and my great thanksgiving; yea, and I will give thanks unto my God forever. Amen."

You will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,

Kylee (Winzeler) Thompson
