LIFE ISN'T ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORM TO PASS....IT'S ABOUT LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN!
Josh was spending the day with his family at the Holmes family reunion. They were all having some 'fun in the sun' at Pineview Reservoir. Josh had been impressing everyone with his wakeboarding skills and took a couple bad wrecks. Later that day he was swimming off the shore at Middle Inlet with his brothers Justin and Colton. Josh was standing in the water almost to his waist when he did a swimmers dive to go in for a swim. Josh remembers hitting the sand. He was instantly paralyzed and was not able to come up. His brothers swimming close by noticed his back arched and his head under and wondered what he was doing, they swam over to him and helped him out to the shore, Josh coughed up some water, and told them he thought he was drowning. Justin touched Josh's leg and he could not feel them. 911 was called immediately, within 4-5 min. the paramedics were there and called life-flight. Josh was transported to the Hospital.

oh my gosh...I'm so jealous! I have been wanting to go scuba diving for a LONG time! Even if it's just a swimming pool!
Glad to see that Josh is doing well! :)
It scares me to think of scuba diving, I know I'm missing out on much by not participating, but you are really brave! You look fantastic! It must feel wonderful. We're sure proud of you. There's a lot in store for you, keep up the great attitude and work, You're amazing! (yes, I mean all of your family!)
love Sherrie
How wonderful some of the family could be over there with you. The scuba diving must have been a real thrill and to have your favorite friend there with you made it double exciting. I don't think there is anything in this world that you wouldn't try. You are an incredible guy with an incredible family.
Love you all so..........much,
Nana
